Lead Computer Vision Scientist
About the Job
We are looking for a technical lead to manage a team of skilled engineers, computer vision experts and machine learning scientists working on our Cabin Monitoring technology. This team is building key pre-production functionality of Smart Eye’s next generation Automotive Interior Sensing product – novel automotive technology that will significantly improve road safety and will transform our transportation experiences. In this role, you will work closely with our product and program management teams, as well as other technical leads, to ensure successful delivery of features on our automotive roadmap.
The Cabin Monitoring team is developing a variety of new features related to understanding the state of the car interior and that of the people in it through the intelligent application of the latest machine learning techniques. Our ultimate vision is to reduce traffic fatalities and help save lives. We hope to do this through safety features such as detection of child and pet left behind, and robust detection of occupant present and in-cabin activities. As well as features that understand occupant mood, emotions, and reactions, using Affectiva’s groundbreaking Emotion AI, to deliver better mobility experiences that enhance comfort, wellness, and entertainment. The Cabin Monitoring features vary from early-stage prototyping through to porting and deployment to a wide set of automotive embedded platforms.
About you
We are looking for a driven leader who wants to help bring our vision to life, shaping the future of automotive safety and mobility experiences. The ideal candidate knows how to build high-performing cross-functional teams of technical experts. They will contribute ideas and can then execute these effectively and efficiently.
We are looking for passion, drive, initiative, and a sense of humor plus several of the skills listed below! If you meet some but not all the qualifications below, and you are interested in our mission and this opportunity, we hope you will apply anyway.
